History
The municipality of Mogán, of which Arguineguín is a part, has a rich and varied history that spans thousands of years. The earliest recorded human settlements in the area date back to the prehistoric era, with archaeological sites indicating the presence of early inhabitants as far back as the Neolithic period.
In the centuries that followed, the area was inhabited by a succession of different cultures and civilizations, including the Phoenicians, the Romans, and the Berbers.
