Bay Point History Bay Point is an unincorporated community located in Contra Costa County, California, in the eastern San Francisco Bay Area. In the mid-19th century, the area was primarily used for ranching and agriculture, with the arrival of the California Gold Rush in 1848 bringing increased population and economic growth to the region.
