The history of Eagle-Vail dates back to the mid-20th century when it was developed as a residential and recreational area. The name "Eagle-Vail" is a combination of "Eagle County" and "Vail," which is a nearby famous ski resort town. In the 1960s, a group of investors led by Gerald Gallegos saw the potential for a new community in the area. They acquired land and began developing Eagle-Vail as a residential neighborhood with a focus on outdoor activities. The community was designed to provide easy access to recreational amenities, including golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, and hiking and biking trails.
