Pacific City is a small coastal town located in Tillamook County, Oregon, United States. It is situated along the Pacific Ocean and the Nestucca River, and it has a rich history dating back to the 1800s.

The area was first inhabited by the Tillamook Indians, who relied on the nearby ocean and river for food and transportation. In the mid-1800s, European settlers began arriving in the area, and Pacific City was founded in 1884 by J. H. Hewitt.

Originally, Pacific City was a hub for the logging industry. The dense forests surrounding the town provided ample timber, which was used to build homes and businesses throughout the area.
