Fountain of Neptune (Fontana del Nettuno or dei Calderari) created by Giacomo Della Porta and abandoned for a long time until the end of the 19th century, when it was completed by ZappalĂ and Della Bitta; the magnificent Four Rivers Fountain (Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi), designed by Bernini and situated in the heart of the square in front of the Church Sant'Agnese in Agone (Chiesa di Sant'Agnese in Agone), its base supports four river-gods representing the four major rivers known at that time:
