The history of Teton Village began with the establishment of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR), which was the brainchild of Paul McCollister. In 1963, McCollister and his partners began exploring the idea of developing a ski resort in the Jackson Hole area. They were inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the Teton Mountains and believed that the area had the potential to become a world-class ski destination.
