Glendale History
The land that would eventually become Glendale was first settled in the late 1800s by William John Murphy, who was a land developer from New York. Murphy saw the potential in the fertile land and the nearby Grand Canal, and he began to lay out the infrastructure for a new town. He named the town after the Glendale in Ohio.
The first post office was established in 1885, and the town began to grow. In 1895, the first school was built, and in 1906, the town was incorporated as the City of Glendale.
Over the years, Glendale has continued to grow and develop. It has been the site of several major events, including the 2008 Super Bowl and the 2015 Super Bowl. It is also home to several major sports teams, including the Arizona Cardinals football team and the Arizona Coyotes hockey team.
Today, Glendale is a vibrant city with a population of over 250,000 people. It is known for its excellent schools, diverse population, and thriving economy.
