The Midland Tridge is a unique landmark within the Chippewassee Park system. Sure, the Tridge is fun to walk over because you rarely get to walk over two rivers at one time. Those two rivers include the Chippewa and the Tittabawassee, in case you were wondering. There's a lot more that goes on around the Tridge that you might not know about...
Every Wednesday and Saturday from the end of May until the end of October, a farmers market is open from 7 am until noon. A covered circle in the parking lot holds vendors that sell fresh fruits, vegetables, plants, herbs, baked items and canned goods.
The Matrix Festival happens in June where local and regional musicians perform in the park. When the festival isn't in session, there is a paved path that follows along the river for walkers, joggers, bike riders and inline skaters.
There is a skateboard park with cement jumps, ramps and other areas to do tricks. A spray park has lots of water tubes and dump buckets for kids to cool off under. Picnic tables and shade are close by so parents can watch in dry and cool comfort.
