Green Turtle Cay is less than an hour away by air from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. But, it's a world away from the crime, congestion, stress and pollution found in most places. It is 150 miles due east of Palm Beach and is located in the Abaco Chain of Islands and has all the subtropical plants native to Florida and some that no longer exist in the Sunshine State.

How to get there?

No problem! Frequent flights go from Nassau and Freeport via Bahamasair and from Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando via GulfStream (Continental Connection) Airlines, US Air, Island Express or Air Sunshine, and from Daytona by Vintage Props and Jets, to Treasure Cay International Airport. Bahamas Air flies from Nassau to Treasure Cay. At the airport take a taxi to the ferry dock for Green Turtle Cay, it's only a five-minute taxi journey ($3 per person). Once aboard the ferry ($8 per person) ask the captain to drop you off at Bluff House; it's about a twenty-minute launch ride. You will be met at the dock and taken to your accommodations. The ferry schedule meets most commercial flights.

Passport or Proof of Citizenship is required to enter the Bahamas. US and Candian citizens may use their birth certificate with photo ID. US citizens may also enter with their Voter's Registration and photo ID. Active US military personnel may use their military ID.

There is also the favourite pastime of napping in one of the hammocks slung between two palm trees, on the private beach at The Bita Breeze following lunch, before the cocktail hour and dinner. Activities range from snorkeling off our private sandy beach, using our equipment to play on our tennis court, swim from one of the decks or directly from the beach. Guests can participate in some of the finest scuba diving to be found anywhere by taking a trip with Brendal's Dive Shop to take you to a choice of over twenty dive sites each unique and different.

Handsome blue eyed Ronnie Sawyer (featured in Saltwater Sportsman) will take you to the flats for some exciting action fighting the elusive and tantalising bonefish. Ronnie specialises in fly fishing and you can bring your own equipment or Ronnie will supply it and he will have you tangling with bonefish ranging in size up to 14 pounds within minutes of leaving The Bita Breeze.
