A town in Rockingham County Hampton Beach has always had world-class attractions and events, as well as great free nightly outdoor entertainment and arguably the most spectacular fireworks schedule of any resort in the northeast. Now comes the Summer of 2001 and with it the first ever Masters Sand Sculpture Competition at Hampton Beach during Hampton "Happy Daze", June 18-23. That's when 10 master sand sculptors will compete for over $5,000.00 in cash prizes. No doubt, thousands of spectators will be lining the boardwalk again as they did last year when Master Sculptor Greg Grady of Hampton created a 10 ton replica of the newly minted New Hampshire quarter.
