Between the islands of Útila and Guanaja

Coco View Dive Resort is located in the Bay Islands of Honduras on the island of Roatan. The Bay Islands of Honduras are about thirty miles north of the mainland of Honduras. They were British colonies until the 1850's when they became a part of Honduras. Roatan is the larger of the Bay Islands and is about twenty miles long but only a couple miles wide. There are numerous bays and fjords accessible through various cuts in the reef that surrounds the island. The reef drops off vertically to the deep ocean floor offering some of the most fabulous wall diving in the world. A modern airport is located near the town of Coxen Hole on the west end of the island with daily direct flights from several US cities.

About midway on the south shore of Roatan is the town of French Harbor and Barefoot Cay is about a mile west of French Harbor. Barefoot Cay is an island between the lagoon from French Harbor and the Brick Bay lagoon. Up to a ten foot draft can now be carried through the 100' wide canal between the island and the mainland.

One of the most popular activities on the island of Roatan is scuba diving. There are a number of dive facilities, some of them will pick you up right here at Barefoot Cay. Most offer all levels of instruction if required. Certification can often be done in less than a week. One of the most popular dive locations, Mary's place, is only a short swim outside the reef at Barefoot Cay. It is on the wall and has breathtaking caverns to explore.

A truly unique marina experience - the whole cay and its surroundings are your playfield! The marina at Coco View Resort has 325 linear feet of dock space and all slips are side ties. It can accommodate yachts up to 120' with up to a 10' draft. There are also two mooring buoys for rent that include all of the cay amenities. The dock space is split with primary space on the cay and room for a 60' yacht and all dinghies on the shore side of the canal. A boat ramp is also on the shore side. You can enter the marina from either the channel at French Harbor and turn west, or you can enter through the Brick Bay channel and turn east as shown on the location diagram

Our electrical pedestals are wired to US standards and all have both 30 and 50 amp service. Our cistern rain water has been treated to be safe to drink from the faucet and is individually metered from the pedestals. High speed satellite internet service is available, cable TV to each slip is planned. Laundry service is available on site. Full security on site and we will take care of your boat as we would our own if left unattended. If you need boat maintenance we can refer you to the best.

During our Grand Opening we are offering to our marina guests free unlimited use of our new Cobra kayaks. We have several models to choose from; Tandem, Explorer, Fish and Dive, Navigator, Tourer and Strike. Barefoot Cay monitors VHF channel 18 (while in the office), drop-ins are welcome, and someone is always here to help you tie up.

Coco View Dive Resort has two lovely guest bungalows. Each bungalow has a spacious bedroom, bath, kitchen and covered deck overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The Balinese shower provides a unique experience with its semi-open roof. The bungalows have ceiling fans and are also air conditioned for those days when the trade winds do not cool enough.
