History & Context

Eivissa Harbour History The Eivissa Harbour, also known as Ibiza Port, is a large natural port located on the eastern coast of the island of Ibiza in the Balearic Islands of Spain. It is one of the most important ports in the Mediterranean and is a major hub for tourists visiting the island. The port is divided into three main areas: the commercial port, the sports port, and the Marina Botafoch. The commercial port is the largest of the three and handles a variety of cargo and passenger traffic, including ferries to and from the nearby island of Formentera and the Spanish mainland. The sports port is primarily used for recreational purposes, and features a number of berths for private boats and yachts. The Marina Botafoch is a newer development and is located to the north of the main port. It is home to a number of luxury yachts and offers a range of high-end services and facilities.
