The capital city of Idaho

Boise, Idaho’s largest city, became the capital of the Idaho Territory in 1865 and remained the capital when Idaho was granted statehood in 1890. Located in southern Idaho, the city has mild winters and temperate summers, unlike the state’s northern Rocky Mountain region.

Boise, Idaho’s beautiful Boise River provides an excellent tourist attraction for Boise, Idaho. Among the city’s other attractions are Boise State University, The Boise State Pavilion, , the Basque Museum and Cultural Center, Morrison-Knudsen Nature Center, Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, the World Center for Birds of Prey and Idaho Black History Museum.
