Splash Lagoon

Scott Enterprises is excited to announce their latest "Splash" in the hospitality industry. Soon travelers will be able to dive into the excitement of Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort, Pennsylvania's only indoor water park. Opening in Erie, February, 2003 Splash Lagoon is a unique all-inclusive resort featuring first class entertainment, accommodations, restaurants and more. The resort complex is comprised of Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park, Lazer Tag Arena, as well as multiple hotel properties. The Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites, the Residence Inn by Marriott and the Comfort Inn will be directly connected to the Indoor Water Park. This will allow guests the luxury of accessing the water park from their hotel without having to go outside. Guests choosing to enjoy accommodations at hotels not directly connected will be able to access the water park via the complimentary Splash Water Taxi.

Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park features the latest and greatest rides in the water park industry today set in a South Sea Island atmosphere. For family pleasure, Splash Lagoon features a five-story Million Dollar Tree House, with 12 levels of activities, showcasing a huge Tiki themed bucket that dumps 1,000 gallons of water onto the excited kids below. Toddlers will enjoy the Little People Activity Pool with zero-depth entry and a variety of interactive water activity areas. "We designed the park so that the smaller children are more secluded from the activity of the older kids. This will insure a more comfortable environment for the kids that is sure to put adults at ease," says Nick Scott, Jr. Vice President of Scott Enterprises. Also included in the Indoor Water Park facility is a 6,500 square foot arcade with over 125 state of the art games that include prize redemption. Located off of the arcade is a Tiki Hut where adults can sip their favorite drinks while kids enjoy fruity refreshments. A large 3,000 square foot private party room is available for parties or corporate meetings.

Adjacent to the Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park is a brand new state-of-the-art Lazer Tag Arena and Arcade. Lazer Tag at Splash Lagoon offers visitors an additional option for exciting entertainment. Players experience all new futuristic obstacles, 3-D graphics, and earth shaking sounds. With the latest in equipment from the industry leaders, Lazer Tag at Splash Lagoon is fun for all ages. The Lazer Tag Arena and Arcade is a great way to end an exhilarating and action packed day.

The inclusion of a variety of hotel properties in the Splash Lagoon Resort will make it possible for families to tailor their stay to their needs. With Jacuzzi suites, two bedroom suites and kids suites, the array of lodging choices offers something for everyone.

Splash Lagoon "Stay and Splash" packages will include overnight accommodations at one of our award winning hotels as well as 4 passes to the indoor water park. For larger families staying at the resort, additional passes will be available at a discounted rate.

General Strong Vincent

For the Union Army A Erie Civil War hero, Brig. General Strong Vincent has been honored with a bronze, life-sized statue depicting his action on Little Round Top during the Battle of Gettysburg just moments before he has mortally wounded rallying his troops to turn back a Confederate assault. Located on the south side of Erie's new main library on the Bay, the Blasco Memorial Library, the memorial statue was sculpted by artist Michael Kraus. The Strong Vincent Commemoratives Committee, a subcommittee of the Erie Bicentennial Commission, raised over $75,000 to complete the statue through donations from the public and by selling print-copies of the oil painting, "Hold the Ground at All Hazards," by artist Keith Rocco.
