Sports enthusiasts and spectators will find sports attractions and activities bountiful in and around Hyannis. There's premier saltwater fishing for bluefish, cod, striped bass, and flounder; much within reach of surf casting off beaches and jetties.

Cape Cod is located in the midst of a major migration pattern for saltwater fish, which gives us a plenitude of fishing from early spring until late fall. Fresh water catches in our many ponds and lakes include pickerel, perch, brook trout, brown trout and rainbow trout.

No visit to Cape Cod is complete without partaking of the favorite local fare of creamy clam chowder, delicate Cape scallops, steaming lobsters and the freshest catch of the day. Landlubbers won't be disappointed either...there is an abundance of excellent restaurants offering the finest poultry, beef and vegetarian dishes prepared in a variety of ways. Choose casual dockside vistas or elegant restored sea captains' homes. There are menus and surroundings to suit every preference and pocketbook.

Don't overlook Hyannis' selection of ethnic eateries: Italian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Mexican, Indian and Cajun cookin' too! Even on the run, you'll find your favorite convenient fast food stop here or try the delectable edibles from the gourmet take-out services in the area.

In general, the evening meal is served until 10 P.M., although many restaurants continue their service until midnight. Dress is usually casual, although a few establishments require a jacket and/or tie. For your convenience, it is suggested you call in advance to see if reservations are required.
