The original Sea Island Inn served as one of Myrtle Beach's most sought after family vacation destinations. The Inn was the only hotel in Myrtle Beach to offer package rates including breakfast and dinner to its guests, and this tradition of excellent service and wonderful meals created a huge family of guests that returned year after year, making the Inn a legend in its time. In 2004 the Chapman family decided it was time for an extensive facilities upgrade. After providing almost 25 years of vacations to guests of the area, the Sea Island Inn was officially closed and demolished so the reconstruction could begin.

Celebrating our grand re-opening in May of 2006, we will be dedicated to preserving the style and grace of the first Sea Island while offering the finest accommodations and amenities found anywhere. The new hotel is elegantly designed featuring architecture reminiscent of Howard Mizner and his style crafted in south Florida in the 1930's. This was blended with an interior design of British West Indies influence, giving an air of tropical elegance. Sea Island will continue serving its guests by offering only the finest customer service and providing first class accommodations along with our award-winning dining.
