Delta County

Located on the northern portion of Lake Michigan, Delta County has more freshwater shoreline than any county in the US. Little and Big Bay de Noc are a fishing paradise all seasons of the year. The restored Sand Point Lighthouse in Escanaba and its neighboring Delta County Historical Museum are popular visitor attractions.

Snowmobile trails with spurs into Escanaba and Gladstone connect these two cities with trails across the entire Upper Peninsula. Delta County has seven golf courses and five cross country ski trails. Gladstone's Sports Park features downhill skiing, snow board half pipe, and terrain garden and tubing hill - something for everyone.

Delta County - a great place to visit, and even better place to live!

Houghton & Keweenaw Counties

Houghton and Keweenaw counties comprise an area in Michigan's Upper Peninsula known as the Keweenaw Peninsula. Surrounded on three sides by Lake Superior, this picturesque peninsula is the "northern-most" experience Michigan has to offer. A place of woods & water, the Keweenaw peninsula provides the visitor with a unique blend of historical, recreational, and natural resources. Two National Parks are based here: Isle Royale National Park, an island wilderness accessible only by boat or float plane, and Keweenaw National Historical Park, commemorating the people and technology responsible for this nation's first mining rush. There are also numerous state and local parks, as well as lighthouses, waterfalls, and even an underwater preserve. An extensive trail system covers the Keweenaw Peninsula, catering to snowmobilers, cross-country skiers, hikers, bikers, kayakers, and canoeists.

Come enjoy the variety of lodging, dining, shopping, and attractions awaiting you throughout all four seasons in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. Choose from full service hotels, motels, cottages, or bed & breakfasts for your lodging, and then plan to spend many days discovering all there is to see and do. Your days can be spent experiencing the numerous museums, tours and scenic drives, and your nights can be filled with music, movies, plays, or maybe a sunset cruise.

Dickinson County

Scenic rivers and lakes mingle with thousands of acres of woodland logging trails, and country roads give visitors a brilliant show of nature at its best. Rivers like the Menominee, Michigamme, and Sturgeon challenge canoeists in spring and fishermen all year around, with white water rafting, and kayaking through Northwoods Wilderness Outfitters. Their mining industry's colorful past lingers still. The Iron Mountain Iron Mine Tour, the Cornish Pump, the Menominee Range Historical Foundation Museum, and the House of Yesteryear Museum are all vivid reminders of days gone by. In winter snowmobilers find a network of trails tracing the county's interior. The Intercontinental Cup Ski-Jump competition at Giant Pine Mountain, a 123.5 meter jump, water ski shows, championship golfing at TimberStone Golf Course, the Festival of the Arts, and the Pine Mountain Music Festival, all add spice to the tourist fare.
