Cala Romantica - S'Estany d'en Mas

The port of Alcudia, in the northeast of Mallorca, is also at the northern end of the bay of Alcudia. It is one of the beautiful main tourist centers of the island. It has an extensive sea promenade, lined with palm trees, and a beautiful, long beach with shallow water. As you move away from the beach, you find small lakes surrounded by hotels, apartments and chalets, which are part of the wetland of the Albufera Natural Park, a large area that has been preserved in its natural state, a true birdwatchers paradise. The port of Alcudia not only offers an excellent housing supply; it also has many restaurants, shops, bars and nightclubs with a lively nightlife in summer, every day of the week.

The Port of Sóller is a tourist center built around a natural harbor, one of the few refuges for sailors, on the north coast of Mallorca. The coastal area can be admired by boat trips departing from the port. You can reach the port thanks to an old tram that runs the 5km that separate it from Sóller. It is the most popular form of transport for tourists from Palma to the Soller Valley. The locality has a large supply of restaurants, shops and a few hotels. It is a peaceful tourist center in an environment of great beauty. Many excursions on foot are possible from Port Sóller or Sóller and allow you to admire the extraordinary landscapes of the Tramuntana, Unesco World Heritage.

Taking the mountain road that crosses the Sierra de Tramuntana, from Sóller to Lluc, you can see two artificial pools located between the highest mountains of Mallorca. They are called Cuber and Gorg Blau. Cuber, built in 1972, is the smallest. It is dominated by the Puig Major and the property surrounding it is owned by the Balearic government. There is a mountain refuge very popular with excursionists who travel through the Sierra to admire the beauty of the place. Gorg Blau, built in 1971, sits at the foot of the two highest mountains on the island, the Puig Major (1445m) and the Puig de Massanella (1365m). Located in the rainiest area of the island, the two artificial lakes supply drinking water to the city of Palma and various areas of Mallorca.

Formentor is a narrow peninsula, located at the northern end of Mallorca that stretches 12km long and 3km wide. A winding road crosses the peninsula and leads to the Cap de Formentor lighthouse, located 200 meters above sea level, a place of exceptional beauty. From the lighthouse, it is possible to make different excursions to visit the many coves in the area (Cala Murta, Cala Boquer, Cala Figuera, etc.). Do not miss: the famous beach of Formentor, with white sand and crystal clear waters, surrounded by an abundant pine forest.
