Monterey Bay Aquarium
- History: The Monterey Bay Aquarium was founded in 1984 by a group of marine biologists, local business leaders, and conservationists who wanted to create an aquarium that would showcase the diverse marine life found in the waters of the Monterey Bay. The aquarium quickly became one of the most popular tourist attractions in California and has since become a leading voice for ocean conservation and education.
- Exhibits: The Monterey Bay Aquarium features more than 200 exhibits and galleries, showcasing a wide variety of marine life from around the world. In addition to its famous Kelp Forest and Open Sea exhibits, the aquarium is also home to exhibits dedicated to penguins, jellyfish, sharks, sea otters, and many more.
