The "Terme Euganee" have Salt -Bromine-Iodine water, a geothermal base, rich in gases and lightly radioactive. The particular chemical composition in addition to the high temperatures of the water act on the mud which becomes mature and gives therapeutical effects.

The mud has a slow process of maturation in outdoor pools which can last up to 3 years. This process gives special characteristics to the clay by dressing it with mineral salts and allowing the growth of special algae and micro-organisms.

The mud bath cycles produce therapeutic and prophylactic effects through a local anti-inflammatory, analgesic, relaxing, revitalizing action The mud therapy improves the resistance to pathogenic agents, gives relief to metabolism disorders and joints movements. These treatments are useful in particular for rheumatic problems, for gynaecological affections, for diseases which affect the skeletal and locomotor apparatus, and above all they are of great help for osteoporosis.

Besides the mature phytobiologic mud therapy, the thermal treatment includes water therapy: thermal or ozonized baths, normal or ozonized hydromassage in the swimming-pool, hot-humid inhalations, aerosols and humage for diseases which affect the respiratory organs.
