There's always plenty going on at the Headland, so much, in fact, that many of our guests never leave the grounds during their stay. And it's easy to see why. Go swimming in - or laze by the side of - either of our two heated pools. Play table-tennis, pool and snooker. Be ready for Wimbledon with a few sets of tennis or try the gentler but absorbing challenge of the croquet lawn.
For golfers there's a nine hole approach course, putting green and reduced green fees at the adjacent Newquay Golf Club. If you want to see things from a totally new perspective, take a Champagne flight in the hotel's hot air balloon. All this is in addition to the regular organised music and entertainment available during the main season and the special events which take place at other times of the year.
You can sunbathe on it, make castles out of it, play games or walk along it. But the real action on Fistral beach lies out in the foaming wavecrests widely acclaimed as one of the best surfing beaches in the world. Both the British and World Championships are held here. Surfing is an exciting sport requiring considerable skill, but now boogie-boarding- you lie on the board, rather than stand - makes the thrills of surfing available to all the family. Excellent tuition is available from BSA instructors. Hire one of our boards and try it. You might like it!
