Seaside resort on the North Sea

The splendid, broad North Sea-beach that is loved by so many is situated at a mere 50 metres from the club, behind the billowing dunes. Also at walking-distance (about 150 metres) is the pleasant centre of Domburg, with its many small shops, fine restaurants and pavement cafés.

Also a wonderful relaxing place is the specially decorated lounge, were you find a bookcase filled with nice books who you can use to read at the time of your stay.

In Domburg, the breakfast buffet at the Hotel Wilhelmina is known as the best in town. You can enjoy it inside in the breakfast room as well outside, on the terrace of the romantic patio. You can wake up with a cup of 'Smith & Dorlas' coffee, a nice glass of fresh orange juice or one of the exclusively for the hotels blended teas. The 'Smith & Dorlas' coffee we serve is certified by the "Rainforest Alliance".

In Domburg and its surrounding area there are many interesting things to do and see. Here are some tips and places of interest:

- Close to Hotel Wilhelmina and Beachhotel Duinheuvel you will find the beach, forest and dunes, a golf course, tennis courts, swimming-paradise 'De Parel' with bowling, squash and fitness facilities, a sauna and a beauty-centre.

- In and around Domburg you will find an extensive network of cycle-paths. At the local tourist information office (VVV) cycling- and walking-tours are available. We also recommend a walk through the forest 'Domburgse Bos' (De Mantelinge), a forest with fantastically shaped trees.

- Goes, Middelburg, Vlissingen, Veere and Westkapelle; interesting places with a rich history.

- Yerseke, world-famous for mussel- and oyster-cultures and excellent fish-restaurants.

- The storm-surge barrier 'Oosterscheldekering' and Deltaexpo.

- Several museums, such as the Silkmuseum "World of Silk" and its Silkshop in Meliskerke, Terra Maris in Oostkapelle, the Muzeeum in Vlissingen, the Zeeuws Museum and Historama in Middelburg.

- For children: the waterplayground (Waterspeeltuin) at Waterland Neeltje Jans, Mini Mundi in Middelburg, Het Arsenaal and 'Play Circus Bambini' in Vlissingen.

- boat trips through Middelburg, from Veere or from Neeltje Jans

Vacation, being free. Nothing is necessary, just do what you want. Nothing or out. With the canal boat through the canals of Middelburg, for example. Fun for the children is a ride on the old steam train Goes-Borselle. Do you prefer to be creepy? Reptile zoo Iguana, there you come face to face with real snakes! Pfff, luckily there is glass in between. Or how about the Silk Museum in Meliskerke?! There you can see the complete process from silkworm to the woven silk end product.

The Zeeland climate is ideal for the growth and flowering of all kinds of animals and plants. Scents and colors stimulate your senses at the beekeeping, butterfly garden or fruit orchard. The ears of the Arsenaal attraction center offers a spectacular view of the busy roadstead of Vlissingen. The children would rather pet the rays!

Small but nice is Miniature Walcheren, the storm surge barrier in the Oosterschelde is large and impressive. Do you dare to descend into such a pillar? Really, you won't be bored here for a moment.
