On the northwest coast of Walcheren in the Dutch province of Zeeland

Zeeland offers you many accommodation options for a holiday with the whole family, a weekend away for two, a short holiday in early or late season, or a trip. On the beach or water, in a forest or open landscape, on the coast or in the polder, pleasantly busy or nice and quiet.

Many holiday parks offer plenty of comfort during your stay and offer the opportunity to easily get in touch with other holidaymakers. Or opt for a holiday in one of the many private holiday homes where you make plans together to explore the area. Or would you rather wake up in a luxurious hotel bed. Large or small, stylish hotels and country houses offer every conceivable comfort. You can easily and quickly book your holiday in Zeeland via VVV Vakanties Zeeland, rental offices or tourist offices.

Once on holiday in the province of Zeeland, don't come shopping at the beach for a day in Zeeland such as in Goes, Middelburg, Vlissingen and Zierikzee. In Zeeuws Vlaanderen, Sluis and Hulst and the market attract van Axel many shoppers. Then museums and day attractions in Zeeland also come into the picture. Neeltje Jans with his Delta Works on the storm surge barrier, the Arsenal in Vlissingen and Miniature Walcheren in Middelburg attract many tourists.

Most tourists visit several day attractions or spend a day with the children in a tropical swimming pool. Dagje Zeeland refers to the subtropical swimming pools of De Roompot in Kamperland, De Parel in Domburg and Sports point Zeeland in Goes. All equipped with slides, Turkish bath, squash courts and/or fitness room.

A cruise is also popular. We refer, among other things, to Rondvaart Middelburg, a cruise on the Nationaal Park Oosterschelde, a cruise on the Veerse Meer and with the City of Terneuzen on the Ghent-Terneuzen canal. This boat trip can be nicely combined with a visit to the Portaal van Vlaanderen with a visit to the locks. You will also find information about the famous round with a ferry via VVV Zeeland. A sailing trip on a historic sailing ship is also possible. Those who like to fish can request information from Sportvisserij Moermond for fishing on the Oosterschelde.

Seeing Zeeland from the water is also possible if you go out yourself and rent a boat for a trip on the Veerse Meer. Boat rental dort Zeelandrent in Kortgene and boat rental is also on the program of Jachtwerf Oostwatering. The sun also shines on the Hortus Zelandiae botanical garden and on the 20,000 m2 of the quirky Sequoiahof garden in Vlake.

Rainy days are heyday for museums in Zeeland. On the site day Zeeland you will find Abbey Historama, the Zeeland Biological Museum, the Silk Museum, reptile zoo Iguana, Fort Rammekens and the renovated muZEEum with lampinshuis pays a lot of attention to maritime Zeeland. The tractor museum is located on the track of Stoomtrein Goes Borsele. It also does not rain in the cinemas of Cinecity in Vlissingen.

You can actively recreate in Zeeland with indoor carting Middelburg or with a parachute jump that you book at the airport Central Zeeland, where you can also board a sightseeing flight over the Zeeland islands with a view over the Delta. You can feast (and visit the mill) at Pannekoekmolen De Graanhalm on Schouwen Duiveland.

And further: More than 50,000 Zeelanders have sailed on VOC ships. Middelburg, Vlissingen and Veere had within the Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie a partnership. Attractions and also restaurants in Zeeland follow on from the VOC year. There are historical walks with a guide in the Zeeuws Archief exhibition "VOC Chamber Zeeland". Via a link on day trip to Zeeland and in the booklet the Zeeland Day Attractions (also in German) you will discover different dates of VOC events.
